Creamy Malabi with Rose Water Syrup

Ingredients
- 2 cups milk or almond milk for dairy-free
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons rose water
- ¼ cup pistachios chopped, or almonds
- 2 tablespoons rose water syrup store-bought or homemade
Instructions
Prepare the pudding:
- In a saucepan, whisk together milk, cornstarch, sugar, and vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture thickens and starts to bubble, about 10 minutes.2 cups milk, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add rose water:
- Remove from heat and stir in the rose water.2 tablespoons rose water
Chill the pudding:
- Pour the pudding into serving bowls and let cool to room temperature. Then refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
- Add toppings:
- Before serving, drizzle rose water syrup over the pudding and sprinkle with chopped pistachios or almonds.1/4 cup pistachios, 2 tablespoons rose water syrup
Notes
Adjust the amount of rose water to taste.
