  • 1 lb pizza dough vegan, store-bought or homemade
  • ½ cup tomato sauce adjust based on preference
  • 1 cup vegan cheese shredded mozzarella or a blend
  • ½ cup mushrooms sliced
  • ½ bell pepper thinly sliced (any color)
  • ¼ red onion thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup black olives sliced
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat as well.

Prepare the Dough:

  • Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or a pizza stone if available.

Assemble the Pizza:

  • Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.

  • Sprinkle the vegan cheese evenly over the sauce.

  • Add your chosen toppings: arrange the mushrooms, bell peppers, red onion, and olives over the cheese.

  • Season with dried oregano, basil, and a light sprinkle of salt and pepper.

Bake the Pizza:

  • Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy, and the vegan cheese has melted.

Serve and Enjoy:

  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Slice with a pizza cutter, add any extra toppings (like fresh arugula or nutritional yeast), and enjoy!
