Ingredients
 
 

  • 2 slices whole-grain bread or sourdough bread
  • 4 oz turkey breast deli-sliced
  • 2 slices Gouda cheese smoked
  • ½ avocado ripe, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup arugula leaves fresh
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Prepare the Bread:

  • Lay out the two slices of bread on a cutting board. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on one slice.
    2 slices whole-grain bread, 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

Layer the Ingredients:

  • Place the smoked Gouda cheese on top of the mustard-spread slice.
    2 slices Gouda cheese
  • Add the turkey breast slices over the Gouda.
    4 oz turkey breast
  • Arrange the avocado slices on top of the turkey and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
    1/2 avocado, Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Add the fresh arugula leaves for a peppery bite.
    1/2 cup arugula leaves

Assemble the Sandwich:

  • Place the second slice of bread on top, pressing down gently.

Serve:

  • Cut the sandwich in half if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Bread Choice: Whole-grain bread provides a hearty, nutty flavor, but sourdough also complements the flavors well.
