Turkey and Avocado Sandwich with Smoked Gouda

- Butter knife or small spatula
Ingredients
- 2 slices whole-grain bread or sourdough bread
- 4 oz turkey breast deli-sliced
- 2 slices Gouda cheese smoked
- ½ avocado ripe, thinly sliced
- ½ cup arugula leaves fresh
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Bread:
- Lay out the two slices of bread on a cutting board. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on one slice.2 slices whole-grain bread, 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
Layer the Ingredients:
- Place the smoked Gouda cheese on top of the mustard-spread slice.2 slices Gouda cheese
- Add the turkey breast slices over the Gouda.4 oz turkey breast
- Arrange the avocado slices on top of the turkey and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.1/2 avocado, Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Add the fresh arugula leaves for a peppery bite.1/2 cup arugula leaves
Assemble the Sandwich:
- Place the second slice of bread on top, pressing down gently.
Serve:
- Cut the sandwich in half if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
Dressing Variations: You can add a layer of hummus or mayonnaise for extra creaminess if desired.
For Added Crunch: Add thinly sliced cucumber or radishes for extra texture.
