Hearty and Spicy Chili Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 bell pepper chopped
- 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can 15 oz diced tomatoes
- 1 can 8 oz tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Brown the beef:
- In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.1 lb ground beef
Sauté vegetables:
- Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and chopped bell pepper to the pot. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.1 onion, 2 cloves garlic, 1 bell pepper
Add beans and tomatoes:
- Stir in the kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce.1 can, 1 can, 1 can
Season the chili:

Simmer:
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and let the chili simmer for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Serve:
- Serve hot, garnished with shredded cheese, sour cream, or green onions if desired.
Notes
Chili can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for longer storage.
