  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti

  • 1 large lemon Zest

  • ¼ cup fresh parsley chopped

Toppings:

  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese grated, optional for extra flavor

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta:

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the asparagus and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it begins to soften.

  • Remove from heat and gently toss in the fresh basil and parsley for an added layer of flavor and freshness.
