Oprah’s Refreshing Strawberry Sorbet

Ingredients
- 1 pound strawberries fresh, hulled and halved
- ½ cup sugar or to taste
- ½ cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish Optional
Instructions
Prepare the Strawberries:
- Wash, hull, and halve the strawberries. Place them in a blender or food processor.1 pound strawberries
Make the Syrup:
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar has completely dissolved, forming a simple syrup. Allow it to cool to room temperature.1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup water
Blend the Ingredients:
- Add the cooled simple syrup and lemon juice to the strawberries in the blender. Blend until smooth and well-combined.1 tablespoon lemon juice
Strain (Optional):
- For an ultra-smooth texture, pour the strawberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove seeds. Use a spoon or spatula to press the mixture through.
Freeze:
- Pour the strained mixture into a freezer-safe container. Cover and freeze for 2-3 hours, or until the sorbet is firm.
Serve:
