Jasmine tea is a fragrant, light, and soothing beverage that originates from China. It is traditionally infused with the aroma of jasmine blossoms, creating a delicate floral experience with every sip.
1teaspoon tea Jasmine Tea Leaves or 1 jasmine tea bag
1cup water hot (approximately 175°F or 80°C)
Instructions
Boil Water:
Heat water to around 175°F (80°C). If you don't have a thermometer, let the water come to a boil, then let it cool for a minute or two before using.
1 cup water
Add Tea Leaves:
Place 1 teaspoon of jasmine tea leaves (or 1 jasmine tea bag) into your teapot or cup.
1 teaspoon tea
Pour Water:
Pour the hot water over the tea leaves. If using a tea bag, simply add the bag to your cup.
Steep the Tea:
Allow the tea to steep for 2-3 minutes. Jasmine tea has a delicate flavor, and over-steeping can make it bitter.
Serve:
Remove the tea leaves or tea bag. Enjoy your cup of warm, fragrant jasmine tea.
Notes
For a stronger flavor, you can add more tea leaves, but be mindful not to steep for too long to avoid bitterness.
You can enjoy jasmine tea on its own or pair it with light snacks, such as a small slice of chocolate cake for a perfect balance between bitter and sweet.
