Ingredients
 
 

Hummus:

  • 1 can 15 oz chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • ¼ cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • Paprika and olive oil for garnish

Baba Ghanoush:

  • 1 eggplant large
  • ¼ cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Parsley for garnish

Bread:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • ¾ cup water warm
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions
 

Hummus:

  • Combine chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic in a food processor. Blend until smooth.

  • Season with salt and blend again. Transfer to a bowl and garnish with paprika and a drizzle of olive oil.

Baba Ghanoush:

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Prick the eggplant with a fork and bake for 30-40 minutes until soft.

  • Scoop out the flesh and combine with tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil in a food processor. Blend until smooth.

  • Season with salt and transfer to a bowl. Garnish with parsley.

Bread:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, kneading until a dough forms.

  • Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Shape the dough into small rounds and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Arrange the hummus, baba ghanoush, and bread on a platter. Serve with olives, pickles, and fresh vegetables if desired.

Notes

Feel free to add other dips like tzatziki or muhammara to the platter.
Freshly baked bread can be substituted with store-bought pita or flatbread for convenience.
