  • 500 g beef brisket cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger sliced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 200 g egg noodles
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish


  • Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant.

  • Add beef brisket chunks and brown on all sides.

  • Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours, until the beef is tender.
    4 cups beef broth, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
