Classic Burger and Fries Recipe

Ingredients
For the Burger:
- 1 burger patty beef, chicken, or veggie
- 1 burger bun
- 1 slice cheddar cheese
- 1 lettuce leaf
- 1 slice tomato
- 2 slices pickle
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
For the Fries:
- 2 large potatoes cut into fries
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Fries:
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) or heat oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Toss the potato fries with vegetable oil and spread them on a baking sheet (if using oven).2 large potatoes, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Bake for 20 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy, or fry until golden brown.
- Season with salt to taste.Salt to taste
Prepare the Burger:
- Cook the burger patty on a grill or frying pan over medium-high heat, about 4-5 minutes per side or until fully cooked.1 burger patty
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the patty and cover to melt.1 slice cheddar cheese
- Toast the burger bun halves on the grill or in a pan for about 1 minute.1 burger bun
Assemble the Burger:
- Spread mayonnaise on the bottom bun.1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- Place the lettuce leaf, tomato slice, and pickles on top.1 lettuce leaf, 1 slice tomato, 2 slices pickle
- Add the cooked burger patty with melted cheese.
- Spread ketchup and mustard on the top bun and place it on the burger.1 tablespoon ketchup, 1 tablespoon mustard
- Serve immediately with the crispy fries.
Notes
Use sweet potato fries for a healthier alternative.
