Ingredients
Fried Chicken:
- 1.5 pounds Chicken drumsticks and thighs
- 1 cup Buttermilk or use regular milk with a squeeze of lemon juice as a substitute

Mashed Potatoes:
- 4 medium Potatoes peeled and diced
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- ¼ cup Heavy cream or milk

Gravy:
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2 tablespoons Flour
- 1 cup Chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Marinate the Chicken:
- In a large bowl, season the chicken with salt and pepper. Pour the buttermilk over the chicken, ensuring it’s fully coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.1.5 pounds Chicken drumsticks and thighs, Salt and pepper, 1 cup Buttermilk
Prepare the Breading:

Fry the Chicken:
- Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat (to about 350°F/175°C).Vegetable oil
- Remove each piece of chicken from the buttermilk, letting excess drip off, then dredge in the flour mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Fry chicken in batches for 10-15 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Make the Mashed Potatoes:

Prepare the Gravy:
