Easy and Delicious Homemade Falafel Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 cup dried chickpeas soaked overnight
- 1 small onion chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- ¼ cup fresh parsley chopped
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
Prepare the mixture:
- Drain and rinse the soaked chickpeas. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, cumin, coriander, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Form the falafel:
- Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls or patties.
Fry the falafel:
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the falafel in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the falafel to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.Oil

- Serve hot with pita bread, hummus, and fresh vegetables.
