Salmon Cream Cheese Bagel Cucumber Salad Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 large English cucumber
- 4 tablespoons cream cheese whipped (herb and garlic flavored preferred)
- 5 oz smoked salmon
- ¼ cup red onion thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon capers
- 1 tablespoon Fresh dill chopped
- ½ avocado optional
- 1 teaspoon Everything Bagel seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- MSG optional
Instructions
- Slice the Cucumber: Using a mandoline or sharp knife, thinly slice the entire cucumber into approximately 1/8-inch thick slices.
Layer Ingredients: In a large deli container or glass jar, start layering:
- Add the sliced cucumber at the bottom.1 large English cucumber
- Layer the thinly sliced red onion.1/4 cup red onion
- Spread a generous layer of whipped cream cheese.4 tablespoons cream cheese
- Tear or roughly chop the smoked salmon and add it to the container.5 oz smoked salmon
- Sprinkle in the capers and chopped fresh dill.1 tablespoon capers, 1 tablespoon Fresh dill
- Add chunks of avocado if using.1/2 avocado
- Season: Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and MSG (if using).Salt and pepper to taste, MSG
- Add Bagel Seasoning: Sprinkle a generous amount of Everything Bagel seasoning over the top.1 teaspoon Everything Bagel seasoning
- Shake to Mix: Secure the lid on the container and shake vigorously until all ingredients are well combined.
- Serve: The salad is ready to eat immediately. Enjoy it directly from the container or transfer to a bowl.
Notes
Onion Flavor: If the onion flavor is too strong, soak the sliced onion in cold water for 5 minutes to mellow its taste.
Storage: This salad is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to a day. Add the Everything Bagel seasoning just before eating to maintain its crunch.
