Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Filling:

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.

  • Add the chopped onion and garlic, and cook until softened.

  • Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.

  • Add the beef broth, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer until thickened, about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Let cool.

Assemble the Pies:

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.

  • Cut circles to fit your pie tins, leaving enough for the tops.
  • Line the pie tins with pastry, fill with the meat mixture, and top with another pastry circle. Crimp the edges to seal.
  • Brush the tops with beaten egg.

  • Place the pies on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

Serve:

  • Serve hot with a side of ketchup or your favorite sauce.
