Classic Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat the oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Mix the wet ingredients:

Combine the dry ingredients:

Add the chocolate chips:

Bake the cookies:
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft.
Cool and serve:
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
