  • 4 cups mixed wild berries blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 packet pectin optional, for thickening

Instructions
 

Prepare the Berries:

  • Rinse the berries and remove any stems or leaves.
    4 cups mixed wild berries

Cook the Jam:

  • In a large pot, combine the berries, sugar, and lemon juice.
    2 cups sugar, 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture comes to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for about 30-45 minutes, or until the jam thickens. Stir in pectin if using, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Can the Jam:

  • Pour the hot jam into sterilized canning jars, leaving 1/4 inch of headspace. Seal with lids and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.

Cool and Store:

  • Allow the jars to cool completely. Store in a cool, dark place.

Notes

This jam can be enjoyed immediately or stored for up to a year.
