Creamy Janssons Frestelse Recipe

Ingredients
- 6 large potatoes peeled and cut into thin strips
- 1 large onion thinly sliced
- 2 oz anchovy fillets drained and chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a frying pan, melt the butter and sauté the sliced onion until soft and translucent.2 tablespoons butter, 1 large onion

- Grease the baking dish and layer the potato mixture evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix the heavy cream and milk. Pour over the potato mixture.1 cup heavy cream, 1/2 cup milk
- Sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly on top.1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-60 minutes, until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Adjust the amount of anchovies to taste.
